"Stories Coming Together" emphasizes LGBTQA+ community struggles.

November 2017

On Nov. 27 at the New Hazlett Theater, CCN held the “Stories Coming Together” event, which emphasized the struggles and violence faced by members of the LGBTQA+ community in Pennsylvania and around the world. Dr. Rachel Levine, Acting Pennsylvania Secretary of Health and Physician General, delivered a pre-recorded speech on the subject, and the art exhibit “Where Love Is Illegal” by award-winning photographer Robin Hammond was on display. The exhibit explores the stories of members of LGBTQA+ community around the world who have faced oppression for their sexual or gender identity. Thank you to everyone involved for making “Stories Coming Together” a success!
