As legislation develops, Crisis Center North reaches out to community members to urge their action, whether it be support for bills that could aid, empower, or increase the safety of victims, or to speak out against legislation that could do the opposite. To add your voice to those fighting on behalf of victims, consider joining CCN’s Rapid Response Committee to stay up to date on the latest ways you can make a difference in our community. Once you do, the process is simple:
1. You will receive periodic updates from CCN about legislation that could affect victims.
2. Find your legislator online
3. Contact your legislator and offer your support or rejection of legislation using talking points provided by CCN.
4. Share this information with your friends, family, co-workers, and acquaintances in-person, over the phone, or online via email or social media. Encourage them to reach out to their legislators and others as well.
