CCN's Volunteer Program

Crisis Center North is proud to be one of the many organizations within our community to use volunteers to the fullest extent of their capabilities. Volunteer hours are varied and flexible, making CCN an ideal center for volunteerism.

Crisis Center North recognizes the invaluable contribution individuals provide through volunteering. The time and skill volunteers contribute to provide quality service to our clients helps us continue to help eliminate violence in the lives of many individuals in our community.

Volunteer positions include:

  • Hotline Counselor
  • Legal Advocate
  • Speakers Bureau Member/Prevention Educator
  • Participation in Fundraising
  • Clerical Assistant
  • Board Member

Two 48-hour volunteer training sessions are held annually. Training is required for all agency volunteers. Individuals must be 18 year of age or older to volunteer on the hotline or within our direct services divisions.

The VolunTEEN Program

The VolunTEEN program is a vital part of Crisis Center North's Volunteer program. The group gives youth a voice in creating a violence free community. It also provides information and experience that someday could be a stepping stone to a related career. CCN's staff is proud of these youths' accomplishments as they demonstrate a commitment to the community.

  • Conducting Presentations
  • Staffing Information Booths
  • School and Community Based Advocacy
